Born in Paris and raised in Montreal gives some insight as to why food is such an integral part of Catrine's life. Her first memories are those of elaborate meals, wonderful aromas and incredible place settings.
Her background in the visual arts has enhanced her appreciation for textures, contrasts and colors.
When Catrine is not on a styling assignment, you will find her in her kitchen experimenting on new recipes while entertaining friends and family. At other times she will be searching antique and specialty shops for that unusual utensil, plate or perfect napkin that she will use on her next shoot.
In the summer she tends her garden where she loves to grow a wide variety of flowers and heirloom vegetables. She will often bring some herbs, vegetables or perfect blossoms from her garden on a shoot. She is always happy to offered her yard as a location for testing with photographers.
Food styling has allowed her to combine her visual and tactile senses into a creative celebration of food.
